Princess Sumaya University for Technology​

It is a great honor and privilege to welcome and introduce you to the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), which, in a span of just slightly over two decades has earned the reputation of being a top-ranked, specialized, private university in Jordan.

PSUT is a pioneering educational institution that combines excellence with innovation, and provides students high quality education in multiple specializations, that enables them to contribute to the development of their communities and keeps them abreast of ongoing international advances in the fields of Engineering, Computing Sciences and Business and Technology. PSUT offers a number of academic disciplines in these areas, which are specifically tailored to meet the expectations of today's youth, allowing them to achieve their objectives and build their futures on a firm academic foundation. This reflects the vision of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of PSUT's Board of Trustees, who is committed to ensuring that a new generation of students graduate with distinction, expertise, and skills that enhance their entrepreneurial and innovative capabilities and contribute to a world that is witnessing unprecedented developments in STEM fields.

In addition to having acquired an excellent reputation at the regional level, PSUT is aiming for a distinguished reputation at the international level by seeking international accreditation for its programs. In 2013 four bachelor degree programs offered by the King Hussein Faculty of Computing Sciences and King Abdullah II Faculty of Engineering were accredited by the internationally renowned ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). We are also working towards AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation of the programs at our King Talal Faculty of Business & Technology. PSUT has fulfilled all the requirements of Jordan's general and private accreditation criteria, established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in line with Jordan's strategy for the development of teaching and scientific research to meet international standards.

In recognition of its outstanding performance since its establishment in 1991 as well as its significant contribution towards building the ICT and business sectors, both at national and regional levels, HM King Abdullah II awarded PSUT the nation's First

Degree of Independence Decoration in 2014. The award also acknowledged PSUT's introduction of unique new degree programs, its excellence in the scientific and research sectors, and emphasis on the culture of entrepreneurship amongst students.

These achievements could not have been realized without HRH's vision and leadership, and the dedication and efforts of all staff and students.

PSUT aspires to implement a number of plans and projects over the coming years, that will augment the university's achievements. Priorities include establishing centers for innovation in the fields of the alternative energy and Arabic digital content as well as international AACSB accreditation of degrees offered by King Talal Faculty of Business & Technology. PSUT also aims to enhance collaboration with the industrial sector in an effort to keep abreast of market needs and develop its academic programs in line with the demands of this sector.

One of our top priorities is the recruitment of high quality faculty which is committed to providing students with the academic and professional expertise required to enable them to navigate the complexities and rapid changes of the modern era.

We aim to make university life for our students, as holistic, exciting, and stimulating as possible by providing them with a unique academic experience while, in parallel, creating an atmosphere that strengthens their sprit of friendship, harmony, and belonging. Our students are encouraged to participate in sports, national and international competitions, community service, and other stimulating extra-curricular activities.
